ARSIN ANNOUNCES MERCURY VALIDATION FOR EFFECTA
INTEGRATION FRAMEWORK JUNIT ADD-IN
SANTA CLARA, CA — August 17, 2005 —
Arsin announced that its Effecta Integration Framework (EIF) add-in
has been validated by Mercury Interactive Corporation, the global
leader in business technology optimization, for integrating Mercury
Quality Center™ with JUnit.
The EIF JUnit add-in allows customers to optimize the test management
benefits of Mercury TestDirector™, part of Mercury Quality
Center with the unit testing benefits of JUnit by providing integration
capability between Mercury TestDirector and JUnit.
“Mercury TestDirector and EIF for JUnit greatly simplify
JUnit test execution and enables Quality Assurance (QA) teams to
integrate unit tests in the QA lifecycle,” said Aparna Sharma,
vice president of reliability services at Arsin. “The EIF
JUnit add-in is designed to provide development and QA groups with
increased productivity and decision-making capabilities. ”
The EIF JUnit add-in provides a centralized repository and test
execution point for JUnit-based test cases. EIF JUnit encourages
collaboration and reuse of testing related artifacts across development
and QA teams. By collecting execution metrics at the JUnit test
case level, development and QA managers can use the powerful real-time
QA Dashboard features of Mercury TestDirector to make better and
faster decisions.
With EIF Users of Mercury TestDirector Integrated with JUnit can:
- Import existing JUnit test cases into the Mercury TestDirector
repository along with the existing Java package structure.
- Generate Java JUnit test case templates.
- Save Mercury TestDirector-generated JUnit test templates to
a remote machine and maintain the Java package structure.
- Design and document JUnit test cases within Mercury TestDirector.
"Arsin’s EIF JUnit add-in provides customers with another
way to leverage Mercury Quality Center to deploy high-quality applications
quickly and effectively,” said Rod Lehman, director of alliances
at Mercury.
