He/She will be responsible for developing a detailed study of the requirements specification of the application/use cases and will provide feedback during design phase for ambiguous or unclear requirements. Should perform detail analysis of the application architecture and propose an approach for end-to-end testing. Responsible for analysis of test environments and for recommending appropriate test environment configuration for ensuring that the Test Engineering resources have an environment that will suffice their needs. The person will be responsible for analysis of the development/deployment cycle of the application and for providing a detailed strategy for the testing efforts during the lifecycle of the project. The person will be also be responsible for coordinating with the offshore counterpart.

Responsibility Details:

Demonstrate exemplary leadership attributes. Should be comfortable in groups/teams and be able to both lead and follow
Demonstrate ability to lead teams offshore
Define and setup QA and test automation delivery process. Should write efficient Project proposals, Test Plans/Test Strategy and Test Scripts and execute them. Define and implement test automation framework with leading test automation tools and programming languages.
Must be capable of working independently on small projects, as well as providing leadership to other testing resources on larger projects
Develop and maintain work distribution plans for the QA effort. Understand the requirements of the engagement and work with the QA/Project Manager.
Review the ongoing progress on multiple projects and help the QA team with new QA challenges and solutions on customer sites.
Create cheerful working environment and provide mentorship to team members.
Establish sourcing channels to hire and train new talent in the team on full time and contracting basis

Required Skills and Experience:

5-7 years of progressive experience with at least 5 years in Software QA Projects and a track record of technology leadership
Experience in leading offshore teams
Demonstrate leadership characteristics and/or experience, change agent, thinks strategically, results oriented, proven high level of performance
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Finance desirable
In-depth functional knowledge of financial applications such as banking, brokerage is a plus.
Must be able to write extensively and quickly and communicate effectively
Must have extensive experience in manual, automated and performance testing in the mainframe and client/server environments. Mainframe skills should include extensive experience in
- CICS o Datacom/DB2
- Batch Processes
- MVS/JCL Utilities
- Cobol

Experience must include systems integration and user acceptance testing, writing and automating test scripts, defect tracking/closing, test planning using guidelines and structured methodologies. Experience with one or more of industry standard test automation and management tools like Win Runner/Quick Test Pro, Silk Test, Silk Performer/Load Runner and Test Director is must. Experience in test automation on mainframe application is desirable.
Should be able to test significantly complex applications, databases and technical infrastructures. Working knowledge with Middleware products. Strong knowledge in OO technologies and test tools required.

He/She will be responsible for developing a detailed study of the requirements specification of the application/use cases and will provide feedback during design phase for ambiguous or unclear requirements. Will be main point of contact for the client and hence will need to maintain and enhance client relationships. Should perform detail analysis of the application architecture and propose an approach for end-to-end testing. You will be responsible for analysis of the development/deployment cycle of the application and for providing a detailed strategy for the testing efforts during the lifecycle of the project. The person will also be responsible for managing budget and staffing requirements for that project. The person would also be involved in interacting and driving the offshore counterpart on the project.

Responsibility Details:

You will be responsible for managing and leading testing efforts for projects in the area of system integration and test product development programs
Responsible for overall project / group to include work quality and customer satisfaction
Manage and responsible for delivering projects and driving the offshore team
Facilitate communication across organization, provide status reports, documentation, delivery of project, project quality, development of strong teams and provide overall project coordination and management

Extensive experience in managing and driving offshore teams
